How do you go about collecting bad debts and bad checks?

Once you place your accounts with Sure Check, we send a collection notice to the debtor.  The letter tells them that the account has been placed for collection, who the creditor is and the balance owing.  By law, we let them know they have thirty (30) days to dispute the debt or request verification.  If, after thirty (30) days, we do not receive payment or a response from the debtor, we demand payment in full and report the account to the national credit bureaus.  Phone calls and/or mailed notices then become more frequent.
